Dr. Williams Paul Nwadi (Senior Research Associate, Co-supervision)

W. P. Nwadi received the B.Sc. in Computer Science & Applications and the M.Sc. (IT) in Information Technology Engineering, both with meritorious honors from the Bangalore University (2013) and the Jain University (2015) in Bangalore – India respectively. He was later awarded the Ph.D. degree in IT Convergence Engineering from the Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT), South Korea in 2020. Prior to these, Dr. Williams was a recipient of National (ND) and Higher Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering from the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria in 2005 and 2008 respectively. His major research interests are in solving real-time reliability constraints for IoT systems, wireless wide-band RF communication, robotics/mobility sensing, avionics (UAV/aircraft) control system, deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI). 

Mudassar Liaq (Ph.D. student)

M. Liaq completed his Masters degree from Jeju National University (South Korea) in Computer Engineering from Machine Learning Lab in the fall session of 2019. Thereafter, he worked for J.AI Labs(South Korea) as Data and Optimization Engineer for over thirteen months before starting his PhD studies at Lakehead University. Prior to his MS he had already worked in industry for 3 years ( with Chanasi, Afiniti) after completing his Bachelor's in Computer Science from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan. His research interests include Wireless Networks, and application of Machine Learning in Networks ( Particularly in Wireless Networks). 

Muhammad Omair Butt (Ph.D. student)

M. Omair Butt is pursuing Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lakehead University, Canada. He is a member of the Wireless Communication & Networks (WCN) research group. He completed his MS in Electrical Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2014 on a fully funded scholarship. He completed his BS in Telecommunication Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NU-FAST), Pakistan, in 2010. He worked as a Laboratory Instructor in the Electrical Engineering department at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU), Saudi Arabia, for around six years (2016-2022). In the professional sector, he has served Cloud Data LLC in UAE (2015-2016) and Telenor in Pakistan (2010-2012). Previously he participated in several research studies and is currently focusing on wireless communication networks and closely related domains. 

Sana Sharif (Ph.D. student)

Sana is a Computer Engineer, she did her bachelors from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan and Masters in Computer Engineering from NUST, Pakistan. She worked as a DBA (Data Base Administrator) for an Auto company in Saskatchewan for 3 years. She is co-author in two conference papers published in SPIE. She is currently pursuing MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lakehead University. Her research interests are Wireless communication, Computer Networking and Image Processing.

Muhammad Adnan Qadir (MASc student)

M. A. Qadir is an Electrical Engineer with a research interest in wireless networks and worked on a project, wireless power transfer by using high power laser during my undergraduate research. Currently pursuing my Masters of Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University Canada, also working under great supervision and group with the research of Wireless networks and 5G devices.
